The food was excellent (the salmon tartare was incredible), the service was great and it felt like we were in Menorca. Will definitely be coming back.

Always the best tapas in Bath

Average food, over priced. Remember your booking fee when you pay your bill because they will not deduct it and it will not be refunded! Called time and time again, emailed- nothing. Poor service

This is a real hidden gem of a restaurant. Very unassuming outside but really nice inside. We had a lovely warm welcome and excellent service throughout. Best of all was the food. The tapas portions aren't huge and we found about 3 dishes per person to be perfect. Absolutely delicious and highly recommended.

Nice restaurant but found the food a little too overpowering flavour wise and some of it a bit sickly. The patatas bravas was too smoky and dry for my taste but the sangria and churros dessert were lovely.

Welcoming, friendly and wonderfull food.

Absolutely delicious food, would highly recommend this restaurant for a different take on tapas. They have traditional tapas dishes (Gambas, patatas bravas etc) but also have more refined dishes which are an utter delight. The bacalao (cod) and chicken dishes were out of this world. Saw some comments re: the food being frozen. I can assure you that's not the case as we saw food being freshly prepared in the kitchen from where we were sat. Staff were friendly, the atmosphere is cosy and the location is fab - right by pultney bridge.

Absolutely amazing place! Food was the best food I had in Bath. I live in Bath so tried quite a few restaurants! This place is exceptional from customer service to the amazing selection of dishes! Their patatas bravas out of this world!

The setting of La Perla is subtly grand - down the steps and into a fancy tunnel. Well-lit in a 'we are dining' sort of way. The music was good, until it suddenly got louder, where it stayed until we left. It's always a bit alarming when food comes out of the kitchen at speed. The bread and oil was great, but as the other dishes arrived (within the space of a few minutes after ordering), a swift decline followed. The patatas bravas were crispy in a this-isn't-my-first-time-in-the-oven way, with an indication of aioli rather than a serving. The potato croquettes with goats cheese were furiously gooey, as if they'd been defrosted, which would be fine were it not for the prices being asked. The tacos were rubbery and pathetic, topped with a witheringly guff vegetable stick that also seemed to have come out of a box. Comfortably the most disappointing was the Superfood Salad, which had suffered a health bypass by being flooded with whatever the dressing was. We were certainly in and out quickly, so that's a plus. Most of the staff were very pleasant. Would not recommend.

Great ambience and atmosphere. Great food!

Fantastic food, really friendly place with lovely staff, so good have re-booked for when back in Bath in a couple of weeks! Although no AC inside, don't worry! The coolness of the vaulted celings made it super comfortable and just an all round great place to eat out (proper tapas - not easy to find always!)

After seeing the other reviews I booked a table at La Perla. Maybe I ordered the wrong dishes as I left feeling underwhelmed? The patatas bravas was so deeply fried they lost all the soft texture inside, just crisp and without much flavour (I also thought this was traditionally with a sauce in addition to the aioli). The Spanish sausage dish was average, nothing much special, especially for the price. The other couple of tapas dishes we tried were good, not great. Cannot fault the service at all, the waiter was friendly and welcoming. It's a shame as I feel we may have booked on an off-night.

Phenomenal time after time. Have been to La Perla several times now (visit Bath infrequently) and leave every time thinking it can't get better only to be proven wrong. Astonishingly delicious tapas. Personal highlights are the beef stew and microsquid. Service is always top notch.

We have come to spend 2 days in Bath after the state of alarm and we have eaten here today, the restaurant is very beautiful and very clean, we have ordered some tapas that were delicious and freshly made! The waiter very attentive and friendly! I totally recommend it!

Brilliant food, the best Spanish food I’ve had, possibly ever, including actually in Spain, we had 9 dishes and we could not fault one, impeccable food and very reasonable portions ..... to anybody who left a bit review, seriously, go home and take some time out tothink about your life! 😂

My husband and I have been to this restaurant twice and it DOES NOT DISAPPOINT. Absolutely amazing food and the staff are always kind and courteous. I'd give more stars if I could!

A tear came to my eye eating some of this food. It's kind of pricey, but my god, if I ever go back to Bath I'm coming here again. It was the best food I've had in my life. I'm an American though so that may not be saying much lol

Ok so expensive and light plate

Outstanding place and quite quirky. Family run and you can tell because all the staff are so proud of the food, the place and the service. It's always great to be recognised and adds to the occasion. No hesitation in recommending this place if you want top-quality Spanish food. I can't wait to get back would definitely recommend the round table at the far left hand side of the restaurant Which makes for great discussion.

Most nice food and service

Food is great atmosphere is good. The only disadvantage is the building is a bit cold.

La Perla - great food and service. We had 7 dishes between 2 of us and that was just about right. The pork with blue cheese was by far the best tapas I've ever had - anywhere! Great beer too, i love Mahou and don't get the chance to drink it enough!! Will be back next time we visit Bath.
